Carina Vinke, born in Emmen, the Netherlands has been performing as a singer since the age of 9. Her vast and varied repertoire has lead her to give concerts in the Netherlands and around the globe in a variety of operatic roles, oratorios, contemporary music, and lieder.
Her operatic roles have included the title role in Bizet’s Carmen, Bradamante in Händels ‘Alcina’ and Hermia in Britten’s ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’. She holds a Bachelor’s of Music from the Royal Conservatory in The Hague and a Master’s of Music from the New Dutch Opera Academy. Carina Vinke’s teachers have included Teresa Berganza, Alicia Nafé, and Jard van Nes. Recently she was a soloist in Mahler’s 2nd symphony with Vladimir Ashkenazy and the European Union Youth Orchestra.
