John Luther Adams was inspired by the natural wonders he experienced a a park ranger in Alaska to write Canticles of the Sky. Turnage's Invention on Solitude is an introvert, captivating work and Bracci wrote a new work for the New European Ensemble inspired by themes of the Renaissance mater Josquin Deprez. Keuris's Clarinet Quintet is a colourful masterpiece written for the 100th anniversary of the Amsterdam Concertgebouw.
