Literary Salon – Tolstoys Kreutzer Sonata

Leo Tolstoy’s classic novella the Kreutzer Sonata – a story of love, jealousy and revenge – inspired Janáček to write his unruly String Quartet no.1.  An abridged version of the story together with the quartet and additional musical material by composer Mihkel Kerem weaves all of these elements together into a monodrama for narrator and string quartet.
