This program chronicles Arvo Pärts evolution from the modernist, atonal composer of the Quintettino, through the invention of his own sound world in works like Fratres and Tabula Rasa to his In spe from 2010. His work is complimented with works by a new generation of Estonian composers Riho Maimets and Pärt Uusberg who have both been influenced by Arvo Pärt.
